I had an ex who hated curry and cilantro so much, she dismissed entire cuisines out-of-hand, if any dish in them might contain the dredded herb.
For years I never ate some of my favorite food.
Recently I discovered that hatred of cilantro may be genetic. Still, I feel compelled to make up for lost food time - I now eat Mexican, Indian, and Vietnamese Pho every chance possible.
